Overview
The ‘Chartered Professional Manager’ Professional Programme provides a structured progression through four distinct phases: Applied Knowledge Phase, Competency Development Phase, Enterprise Performance Phase, Strategic Mastery Phase. On successful completion of four levels, the Chartered Professional Manager Status will be awarded by CPM Sri Lanka. Each level is thoughtfully designed to build a robust understanding of management principles, organizational functions, entrepreneurial skills, and business perspectives essential for sustainable business growth.
· Applied Knowledge Phase: This introductory stage covers fundamental management concepts, enabling participants to grasp core management principles and organizational functions while developing necessary competencies for business development.
· Competency Development Phase: Participants deepen their understanding of business management principles, focusing on practical applications and effective management strategies tailored to specific organizational contexts.
· Enterprise Performance Phase: Aimed at experienced professionals, this level involves rigorous evaluation of management concepts and the application of competencies in complex business scenarios.
· Strategic Mastery Phase: This stage involves an in-depth assessment of advanced management concepts and competencies, equipping participants to devise management strategies for diverse business needs
Chartered Professional Manager Status: As the programme's pinnacle, the Chartered Professional Managers Status is for professionals aspiring to top managerial excellence. Participants will master complex management evaluations, optimize organizational functions, and develop innovative management strategies for specific market demands.

APPLIED KNOWLEDGE PHASE
Entry Criteria;
ü 06 Simple passes in O/L or
ü Those who have at least five (05) years’ experience in executive/managerial level or
ü Any other qualification accepted by the Governing Council
Learning outcomes;

COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT PHASE
Entry Criteria;
ü Those who have successfully completed the APPLIED KNOWLEDGE PHASE conducted by CPM Sri Lanka or
ü Three (03) years working experience in executive / managerial with 06 passes(English Compulsory) in GCE O/L or
ü GCE A/L 03 simple passes, excluding General English or
ü SLQF 3 equivalent qualification + 02 years working experience or
ü Any other qualification accepted by the Governing Council

Participant should be able to;
ü Identify concepts and principles relating to business management.
ü To understand management functions in an organization.
ü Apply the appropriate competencies to specified business situations.
ü Appreciate effective managerial competencies for specific organisations, products or services and personalities.

ü Completion of COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT PHASE or
ü 3 simple passes in A/L + 03 years’ working experience or
ü SLQF 4 equivalent qualification + 03 years working experience or
ü Undergraduates (2nd Year) or
ü Any other qualification accepted by the Governing Council

ü A Degree or equivalent professional qualification + 03 years of minimum working experience or
ü Completion of ENTERPRISE PERFORMANCE PHASE + 03 years of working experience or
ü SLQF 05 equivalent qualification + 03 years working experience or
ü Any other qualification accepted by the Governing Council
